Buffalo Bills 2009 Preview

The Buffalo Bills have gone through a handful of significant lineup changes this season, attempting to improve from their bottom of the division finish in the AFC East last year.

Without a doubt, the fundamental acquisition that everybody knows about is the 1 year 6 million dollar contract of the one and only Terrell Owens.

On the other hand, there have been some other signings like Dominic Rhodes from Indy along with the rookies the 2009 draft. Marcus Stroud proved himself worthy last year. Arriving from Jacksonville he registered 45 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and knocked down seven passes.

T.O. last year caught 69 passes for 1,052 receiving yards and 10 TDs. Dominic Rhodes should be a sound third string RB this year, last year having 152 rushing attempts for 538 yards and 6 TDs.

Filling in for suspended running back Marshawn Lynch and quick Freddy Jackson, he will have a handful of touches markedly when Fast Freddy needs to breathe the first four weeks without Lynch in the game.

Trent Edwards last season did not whatsoever have a bad year (better than Losman or Flutie might've done, registering 245 of 374 completions for 2,699 yards and 11 TD's, he did in spite of this, have 10 INTs.

Expect Edwards to post an even better season now with a reliable franchise of wide receivers in Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish, and Terrell Owens. They can not be nicknamed speedy but these Bills have amazing speed and are impressive route runners. With the brand new Bills, that brings us to their schedule, which is fine, and I think they have a very practical chance at the playoffs!

With my outlook ,that puts Buffalo at 10-6 with a 4-2 divisional finish. Yes last season the wild card magic number was 11-5 but if the Bills have one underdog victory vs a team like the Pats, the Titans, or Indy that makes them 11-5 with a decent chance at the playoffs. Let's go Buffalo!
